Carlo Pieroni was born in Florence, Italy. His work is a combination of photography and digital manipulation where he “paints” each image to create a timeless vision of femininity, always on the borderline between reality and fantasy, where the woman is never an object but the driving subject of a highly calibrated seduction game.
The pinup look never goes out of style. In V62, Willy Vanderperre and Olivier Rizzo subvert the sex appeal of Victoria’s Secret superstars Miranda Kerr and Ana Beatriz Barros to create a beautiful Resort collection. Click photos for more information about what the lovely pinups are wearing.

A part-time pinup girl and full-time Forties enthusiast, shares her knowledge of vintage and provides lots of authentic vintage & retro fashion inspiration, plus styling tips & tricks, events and other fun stuff. Here is a great video of her showing how to create faux bangs that were so popular in the 1940s.
Fleur is exceptionally skilled and truly has a knack for what she’s doing. She has styled for a number of photo shoots and here are some pictures:

Miss FanTeasy, burlesque star and owner of some seriously luxuriant tresses!

Having been seeing a lot of swing girls at events wearing embellished stockings (remember Katie Anderson’s floral patterned stockings here?), I was delighted to stumble across Scottish company . I love the sailor blue pinup prints on opaque white tights!
They also have these cute opaque tights with bows – yes, the bows are on the tights, not the shoes:
I just rented Watchmen on DVD, and lord, it’s a great film – the opening credit sequence is amazing! But anyway, of particular interest to Swing Fashionistas, is Carla Gugino playing 1940s superheroine, the original Silk Spectre (aka Sally Jupiter). Check out those victory rolls! Here’s a few more shots from the film, and at the end an unrelated pinup shot of Carla Gugino in a similar Varga girl style. Va va voom!
