I have five glorious pairs of 1940s (some maybe very early 50s) for sale in the shop this month. All fine examples of the many shoe styles that were available at the time. One pair is pretty much deadstock and comes with it’s original box, dated 1944. My favourite is the beaded shoes with the plastic vamp. Very elegant. If my shoe size wasn’t an 8.5 I’d be keeping two of these pairs for myself!

Happy birthday Carole Lombard
Carole Lombard was my favourite actress from the 1930s and if I had only 1% of her style and beauty I would be happy! On October 6, 1942 she was killed when the TWA DC-3 plane she is traveling in crashes en route from Vegas to LA. She was only 33.
Beautiful 1920s and 30s shoes
I adore 1930s shoes and I have been amassing a great collection of 1920s and 30s shoe pins that I would like to share here. I never cease to be amazed at the at the elegance and sophistication of some of the designs and I would dearly love to own them or see them reproduced for the modern market. I think the shoes with cut-outs and geometrical patterns are some of my favourites from designers such as Schiaparelli, and Perugia.
I have a Pinterest page full of pics of 100s of vintage shoes that I have found online and appropriately called ‘Vintage Shoe Love’. So, if you adore vintage shoes, take a look 🙂
